At Easter in 2017 I was lucky enough to have a sculptural installation titled Wounds of Love hosted by Norwich Cathedral
as part of The Cross exhibition.
Three elements, inverted wooden organ pipes, were stripped back to their partially traded under surface revealing the marks and 'bleed' spots in the raw wood. These were leant up against the wall to represent the three crosses at Calgary. The centre element had a mirror inserted in the 'mouth' at the foot of the element, a wreath of thorns was places into the very top cavity and the element was lit from within.
The crown of thorns was seen as a shadow on the ceiling and one had to prostrate oneself at the foot of this 'cross' in order to see yourself reflected as one would be in Christ.
A series of black & white photographs of grave crosses was also part of the show
