The pleasure of using found objects as inspiration, or directly, to make work is widely enjoyed and takes many forms. This workshop explores the work of artists, contemporary and historical, who have used found objects in their working practiceand the different ways of using of found objects to make your own work.
The workshop will focus on 2D and 3D responses using a variety of materials and mediums. Experimentation and trying out new methods and techniques will be integral, as well as new approaches to working with found objects to develop professional work.
You may already have a collection of objet trouvé that you would like to use but if you don’t, materials will be provided on the day. The Art House and Art Garden offer a perfect venue for small groups and off-site workshops are provided for schools, colleges and art groups. Residential courses and holidays are also available where exploring art can be part of your get-away.
