Robin and blackbird song welcomes us to the woods
December lays lightly on the day
Great-tits and titmice chitter on the trees
Light airs and soft misted edges

The old ruin stirs the imagination
The stream full flowing fat with recent rains
A palette full of greens
The early light on trunk and limb
Hearts ease

The grace and beauty of it all
The rightness
The feeling of home
