St Michael’s Mount lies in grey blue turmoil
Great-tit
Jackdaw
One for sorrow
Football to beach

Brassica scented before sea scents assail
Trenow Cove
Thrush and wren
Achingly lovely song mingled with crashing waves
Robin and gulls

A Snowy Egret, Oyster Catchers and Sandpipers greet me on the shore
Wagtails
Sand-Hoppers
Salt air

Minor erosions
by force majeure
The Mount subsumed in sea fret

Wrens whirr a protest as we head home
A robin carols from the ivy
Gulls play with the breeze
The landscape feels ancient
Legends and sea dogs fill the imagination
King Jackdaw crowns his outcrop
A Curlew flies by
